KiwiHarvest

co-operative projects

KiwiHarvest’s purpose is to rescue good food from going to landfill and make sure it is safely re-distributed to Auckland’s charities who are providing food to those in need.

KiwiHarvest collects excess fresh, chilled and frozen meals and food donations from supermarkets, cafes, growers, caterers and manufacturers in a refrigerated van, ready for charities to serve or provide nutritious meals to their clients. They collect the food and deliver it for FREE thanks to the amazing generosity of sponsors, volunteers and food donors who want to do the right thing.

Food rescued by KiwiHarvest helps to provide nourishment to the homeless, women’s refuges, emergency family accommodation centres, those with disabilities or mental illness, rehab centres, new immigrants, the elderly and as they see youth as the key to change, they absolutely love to see young people enjoy the good food that they deliver for them or even better still, learn to cook for themselves.
